Sweet mother... Sony’s KD-84X9000 will be released in Japan on Nov. 23 at a cost of 1.68 million yen ($21,600), including tax. Anyone needs a kidney for 20k?

HAHA lol My gf says I have to decide between this tv or the coyote engine swap in my mustang. Both will cost the same.

I would opt for the coyote swap myself but that's just me. Sure as hell more fun than any TV. I'm addicted to 4.10s and nitrous though. I will have another one, just can't right now.

lol, a "4K" display that only accepts 1080P/60 Hz input. They can keep it.

So basically It scales the 1080p videos to 4k. Misleading title.

Even if it could play 4k content, it would be pretty pointless in the current age of media and will remain pointless for years. if anything, it'll make everything look worse because you'll see big squares instead of small pixels

This doesn't make sense, "equipped with (4K) BRAVIA LED; four times HD 1080" They are comparison betwen horizontal resolution versus vertical, This shouldn't even be 4k, This is 2160p

It's talking about the amount of pixels that the resolution actually pushes. 1920x1080 = 2073600 pixels 3840 x 2160 = 8294400 pixels
