For 30/42/60/80/110mm m.2 SSD's the space on that circuit board can only hold so many NAND chips. This is why 8TB is currently the maximum for a common 80mm m.2 SSD. As more NAND layers and bits per cell are developed in a single chip, more data can be stored in that same chip. The current 20-100 TB SSD are around the size of mechanical hard drives which have enclosures that hold a lot more NAND chips and use a different interface such as U.2/U.3

I would settle for just the 2gb being 50$ that price you can get 4gb or higher hdd now. I keep reading SSD prices are gona drop to HDD but it never happens

It depends on the abundance of the technology out there, just like any other technology. Since NAND has gotten cheaper and been used in more variations of hardware than when they were first conceived (sata , pcie 3, 4, 5), there are lower cost options and more companies producing and competing in ssd market now.
