So Intel refuses you to send anything while AMD does this.

Cool video!....Man that's a big processor!

Epic kit sent from AMD ,very nice indeed Guru3d personalised TR, doesn't get much better than that right πŸ™‚

The Guru3D etchings in both the box and the dummy CPU are really nice touches. I'm sure AMD is hoping these first impressions become lasting impressions, but as long as the CPUs perform the way everyone is predicting, I don't think they really have anything to worry about. Ryzen was a success, but not a resounding success. Based on the effort AMD is putting into this, it seems TR is what will really help leverage AMD's future.

I'm now having to hide a boner at work πŸ˜€ Looks good. Can't wait to see the full review. AMD knows how to make an impression with that press kit.

Great "un-ripping" HH. I am excited to see what these chips can do! πŸ™‚

I have a feeling these chips are great for rendering and compiling stuff. Man that chip is so big and spread, the some of the current coolers will have issues covering the important parts.

Surprisingly enough, AMD was spot on about that. It is not an issue. Placed my finger on the heatspreader surfaces that are uncovered by the LCS block, not even close to warm.

Most of that 130-odd grams in weight are probably the solder missing from X299 chips :P

GG that's beautiful. What a nice review kit. Great pictures, very well formatted and framed. Thanks for the video too. Wish I could afford such a system. Well done HH. Can't wait for the review.

Ok now I am pumped. If that CPU is the CPU I have been waiting for, I am all in. Please AMD, don't dissapoint me! I need to put my Intel 4790K to rest and I am waiting for a Reason to Switch. Let's hope these new Boards and the Socket in General is more bug-free then the AM4. Good Job on the Sneak Peak btw! The Presentation is surely a Showstopper!

AMD impressed me with that retaining mechanism that's pretty well engineered and the torque wrench detail is just excellent. Curious to see the performance results in the review. Where can I find the schematics with cooler holding holes and thread size?

Please, please, please, please AMD, dont screw this up.....I really like to switch my old i7 2600k for one of these TR beauties!!!

HH did AMD send you a 1900x too by chance? would love to see the differences between that and the 1800x

Does it mean that AMD considers Guru3D as its 64th best partner? πŸ™‚
No I just requested something resembling Double-precision floating-point precision / binary64 πŸ€“

No, that is due out for release later this month. I'm sure we'll test it though.
