Hilbert Hagedoorn:

We review the SK Hynix Platinum P41 M.2 NVMe SSD, it's one of the fastest SSDs we've tested, especially when it comes down to access times and throughput. Branded with its own NAND and PCIe Gen 4.0 controller, this unit offers durability as well as PCIe 4.0 performance levels above 7 GB/sec. ... SK Hynix Platinum P41 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD
Nice review, too bad that it is "currently unavaible for your country" for me...

Great review @Hilbert Hagedoorn, spot on with the article . I bought one 1TB of this new nvme during prime day on Amazon fo $119US Dollars. Performance it's great but all over the place , me thinks it needs a better firmware optimizations towards 4k small files read and writes where the speed does matter the most. Overall not a bad product , the 1TB is single sided meaning it's easier to cool than say my double sided Sabrent Rocket Plus 2TB. As you stated on te review most motherboards included heatsink will be sufficient to cool down this drive.

@Hilbert Hagedoorn Chief! Request for an article. Buddy, when your next test system is full on PCI-E 4, can you do a NVME raid test article. 🙂 Say, 8GB, 4x2GB which is where I would like to be and who wouldn't? Unless they smell.

By experience NVMe raid is more sensitive on raid controler, that are mostly connected in X4 or in X8 for pro one, than on M2, most of the time even with (not too crappy 🙂 ) low cost M2 you can saturate it. Raid of NVMe is more good to make big volume or/and rise security of the volume than bring real performance, at least for now 🙂

Starting to see more SSDs with pretty legit 4KQ1T1 performance.
