Along the lines of the super fast recharging battery technology I heard last year or 2011. One day i'd like to see it :/

I really do hope this technology is on the market by the time I get a new smartphone. :?

Well the problem is that they never ever seem to report the downsides to each amazing new battery technology. And the downsides are usually nearly impossible to overcome. For this one, the electrolyte becomes a film that covers with nanowires more and more with each discharge due to the increased surface area the nanowires represent.

Combine this with Ferrate cathodes, you're on to a winner 😀

need batteries with better charge capacity not ones that can charge faster.. but i guess 3x the battery life of 6-8hour of the ones now are better

50% capacity over a standard alkaline battery isn't that impressive. Any news in the last couple of years?

Not a huge amount know, but I did some work for a company on large scale commercial synthesis of the stuff. It's a bitch to make.

Ya ya . Super-duper graphene enhanced mega something, carbon this, carbon that ,low fat, water proof batteries with a fresh pine scent. They have been coming now for what ? five, Ten , twenty Years now? Seems always to be pure BS. Never happens.

Not when nothing has happened for years.

Not sure how but Qualcomm phones with the snapdragon processors aparrently charge 40% faster than their predecessors or other phones. They listed 70 compatible devices over on Windows Phone Central. It does kind of explain why my HTC 8X charges in 2 hours vs. any phone I had previous which took 3 hours with a smaller battery.
