You are right, but at those ages, they are also full of potential, 16 year-old hacking into Nvidia? leading tech power on AI? Microsoft? Amazon? pffff amazing stuff.

Probation, passports withheld, limited movement in country, scholarships to tech schools, future MI6 intelligence officers.

That's what you get when you mess with what you don't understand. Hope they wise up and get good deals, life in prison is not something I wish for talented people who could use it for good.

Government would be such a waste for that amount of talent.

I hope all of you are right about it turning out to be some good job opportunity. Otherwise, their lives are screwed up badly before they even got started. This is why we make good choices and leave what ISN'T OURS... alone!

their buddies now learned from the sidelines, so they won't get caught

Hackers snitching on other hackers. cool.

So.... why aren't any nvidia (and others) owners and decision makers charged and prosecuted for having consumer personal information (along with other non protected by law info) stolen by kids? I'm not even joking....

There's no such thing as talent if there's no wisdom behind it. I suggest they start working on that instead of farming 'internet famous' coins.

Such a waste of young talent. They should have focused on Denuvo.
Bam!....haha, that would be more fun to talk about^

I knew these hackers were 'off' when they demanded Nvidia remove the crypto mining limiter LHR cards from their product line. Such a silly demand can be explained by them being kids and not knowing how to leverage their hack with something more valuable or sensible.

Da Gubment is going to hang their criminal records as leverage. Also, we need to understand these kids psyche profile to determine where they lean... There are no white or black hats, just unlimited shades of gray, depending on bounty.

Yes, lets punish the victims! That sounds like the greatest of ideas! While i understand that companies that hold information are generally expected to protect that information, there is literally no such thing as "fully protected", even offline information can be stolen. So your idea that every time a company is the victim of illegal activities, we should fine them, just doesn't make sense. I'd love to see you be the victim of literally anything and be told you should be charged and prosecuted for what someone else did to you. And just so it's clear: That doesn't mean an investigation shouldn't be done to determine if the hack was able to be done due to negligence, but the immediate: prosecute the victim! ---- just doesn't make sense.
