Quite a hefty system req. one of first games needing an 8core cpu. I can see where this gen is going.

8c, 16GB RAM and 1080/2060 as recommended requirements for what i just watch on this video???? Hahahah, good joke
OK for AC Valhalla, OK for RotTR, OK for Watch Dogs Legion, OK for CP2077. But this piece of garbage from 2005? You all know some games are downgraded from announcement to launch, right? Well, this one should be extremely upgraded to justify that hardware.

I do not care about hw requirements, you can adjust settings.
When serious sam came out it was a fast paced shooter, fun and worth playing. Now it seems date and not adding much. I do not see any kind of storyline even possible here
I would why peopl looking for a fast shooter should pick this over doom eternal.

Because unlike Doom its just fun all you do is run around in a Frag Fest, Doom whilst also good is a bit more difficult in terms of puzzles, I have all the Games so far from both series including the Dos version and love both but the most recent Sam the VR ready version is a hoot and this new one is more of the same but with much improved Graphics.
Bit like Duke Nukem makes no sense but its great to blow shit up!

Serious Sam is fun. Franchise is going strong for 20 years and Croteam likes put some focus on the engine. This game have more graphical and cpu options than 99% out there. Its insane.

I really liked the engine demo/showcase area that was in the first Serious Sam game, oohing and aahing over the particle effects and shiny orb. The series has never disappointed graphically (Serious Sam 2 was a console exclusive at the time...), looking forward to this installment!

Builds himself a sensibly priced rig.
-Intel i3-9100F (Quad core)
-nVidia 1660
Good to know that I'll get around 30/50fps at 720p. (Goes into shock)
Time to see what eBay is charging for an i5-9400f. No way am I buying an 8 core cpu for one game. Yet.

P.s. Also update to a 2060 and switch off a load of stuff.

Looks like my main rig's all set for the game, like Cyberpunk 2077, I already have SS4 on preorder for a while now. I'm not bothered by naysayers, I love the mindless fragging nature of the SS series, come 24th, I'd be posting here a little less as I'd be too busy (and having too much fun) fragging Gnaars, Kleers, Scrapjacks, etc

100k enemies on screen ? I can just see the game crawling like C@C did back in the day when I had matches where there so many units on screen at once that the game was doing 5 fps:)
SS games are ways fun but the requirements do seem steep must be the side effect of 100k enemies on screen? my poor 6700k and is 4c/8t it got to survive gaming for another 2 years atlest before willing to build new system
