According to the competition the drives all use the new Phison E12 controller coupled with Toshiba 64-layer 3D TLC. Performance should be quite good, it'll be interesting to see store pricing.

No, i am the same. "Gaming": take a mid range (low if you are greedy) put a sticker with dragon, robot, militaria or carbon and add RGB led and sell it at the price of high end gold plattered product 🙂

It makes me cringe on just about everything that doesn't involve input latency, so monitors, mice and keyboards get a pass.

What $200 gaming keyboard got against plastic 5$ one? I understand game mouses can fit hand better. Still cant understand the difference between pushing keys. They register all the same. I had gaming keyboards that broke after year of usage, still happily punching my old $5 keyboard. You might want PS/2 for reduced lag.

PS/2 sends a hardware interrupt instead of polling, but polling at 1000Hz seems to yield faster results in the end (trick jumps were noticeable easier). Then there's also durability. With mechanical my keyboards last for years, whereas rubber domes would wear out for me in a year or less. Though if you just want decent latency, there's plenty of half decent € 50 or less keyboards out there. I also never buy the top end keyboards, I usually buy the cheaper mechanical without all the bells and whistles.
