So it is called "Gaming Hub" because it has extra USB ports where users can plug another device?
Both products "look" good. But I do not see word "gaming" in their names as good thing. Because I would not use such devices to play games from.
I would use such devices to store games I am currently not playing.
As for pricing:
Looks good to me. Their "Gaming Dock" predecessor with capacity of only 4GB costs here $383 USD w/o VAT. While MSRP is some $370.
Such storage may even look good while it sits next to XSX.

Even on console I'd never go back to a HDD, some games load up so slowly with the old hard drive. Chaning over to an sata SSD or NVME ssd makes a massive difference sometimes double the loading speed or more.
Makes it very worth it in my eyes

this will eventually end up in the discounted first communion gift sections of every major electronics store in eastern Europe.

Any product with "gaming" on their name and RGB is guaranteed to be trash.
Bought a 6Tb WD my book for 130€ for backup storage and I'm very happy so far.
For gaming, just buy an NVMe: you don't have all your library installed at the same time, do you?

Gaming ... HDDs ? Lol

And there is the Dock (without gaming word) in black in 6To, 8To, 12To and 24To... same product but for "normal" users
The bandwith on USB 3.* is pretty good, but they are noisy.

Well i have one drive in my new PC and that's a M.2 4tb ssd.
It's for Windows and my main games, i have thought about another SSD for rubbish but do i really need an sata/m.2 SSD for crap.
I have started buying USB 3.0 flash drives with high capacity like 512GBs ones. I think they are fine for movies and general crap like pictures, files and saved latest drivers.
Plus i have a huge collection of legal ROMs because i love old games still and tbh i enjoy some of them alot on the MAMEUI64 EMU.
So i have thought also of getting an external drive say a 8tb HDD just for all my crap and movies plus backups of all my important stuff.
That way you only plug it in when you need it. This looks fine for that job.

Plenty of reasons to still get classical HDD's, but gaming ain't one of them!

https://www.newegg.com/p/12K-00EM-00011. I guess if Seagate make em or stick their log on will also call em gaming 😛
Edit : added the 2nd part
Absolutely HDDs are great for that ! But this is not gaming is backup/affordable storage solution. Tapes can hold terabytes on the cheap too, if you need so much cold storage on the cheap that the equipment cost for em is a non issue, and you can backup thousands of games in em (with enough tapes ) but that does not make em gaming tapes 😛
Here 12tb uncompressed or 30 compressed for 90 bucks cucaulay malkin
