It appears to be much denser than the previous version. Also, the price looks reasonable. Hilbert, is there any chance you could review it, preferably against Ninja 3?

^ I second that. I have a Scythe Kotetsu and it's an amazing cooler for the price. Would love to see more Scythe reviews!

I replaced my NH-D14 with the Scythe Kotetsu, so much smaller and just as good. I love it and I doubt I will ever go back to huge coolers. Some single tower heatsink offer the same performance atm.

Same performance at the same noise levels... with stocks speeds perhaps but you'll going to see some changes when you pump some extra volts into the CPU and OC.

I am already oc'ing. I can only get 4.2ghz max @ 1.167v my cpu sucks. and technically, less noise. One fan @ 600rpm rather than 2, max 750rpm @ 100% load, 63-65C. 🙂 I am also not using noctua fans, I dont think they are good enough. I run 2 case fans, 1 cpu fan, accelero xtreme III on GPU (GTX970 on the way, with a fan that doesnt spin <60C). PSU fan never turned on since I bought it. You dont pump too much extra voltage without water cooling anyway, and you definitely dont pump a ton without LN2. I get to 75C (3 case fans) with 1.263v, 83C with 2. Thats because I dont have enough airflow with 2 fans rather than the heatsink, but no matter the heatsink, its actually not recommended to use more than 1.3V, unless you have like 50 fans in your case. I got a Define R5, which runs hotter than most cases, due to being a silent case with lower airflow than a more open case. The Kotetsu is just better. Offers the same performance for a smaller size, less noise and lower cost. My PC is really quiet, probably like 20-25dB with the loudest part being my hard drive.
