That edge screen looks interesting. Although, I bet it's constantly overshadowed by fingerprints of holding it with the left hand, and the fingertips reaching around that edge while holding the phablet. ๐Ÿ™„

Looks really neat, but I like my Note 3 far too much to jump ship at this moment in time. Perhaps when the Note 6 arrives, I may consider wavering a bit.

i hope they gonna put a minimum of a 805 in the S6 when they finally announce it....

I feel pretty much the same. It's hardly an upgrade. The CPU seems to be a notch faster, but did you need extra CPU in Note 3? or more pixels? The only thing that appears to be a real upgrade is the improved camera with ois... and maybe a fingerprint scanner if you're into such stuff. The metal frame looks great, but so does plastic frame in Note 3. They also replaced USB 3.0 with 2.0. Also, I don't like the move to put the speaker on the rear side - the positioning on the bottom edge in Note 3 is superior, as it's not covered when the phone is on the desk facing screen up, and you can easily redirect the waves with your hand when watching videos. Samsung effectively left a few features to make upgrades to Note 5/6 easier: Waterproofing USB 3.0/3.1 Front stereo speakers Dedicated camera shutter button Preventing Google services from keeping wake lock and draining battery like crazy ๐Ÿ˜€

This phone would work really well with Windows Phone too as they already incorporate a side bar on the right... There are rumours that new WP devices are coming before Christmas, if nothing is as cool as the edge then I may just go for that instead, I have waited too long as it is for WP.

In reality there's a lot little upgrade, optimisation on it: - The multi window and multi task are re-thinked, and now it is really excellent., the S-Pen see some nice last addition by Wacom ( some you can only find on their high grade graphic tablet ), Along that a lot of new features, mice function on the S-pen ( for select, capture, copy, move etc )... - The 3 Mic who can take 8 positions simultaneously ( not sure it is usefull for all anyway ) and who can be directed ( it should increase the quality too on camera etc recording ) - The Heartbeat sensor can be used as shutter (( well if you want use it ofc for it ). - The Camera ( as you have said ) - The screen with WQHD resolution. - Last Snapdragon 805 ( with last Adreno i imagine ). - The battery life and recharging ( 2x faster than on the Note3 ) As for Waterproof, if it is not IP67, it is like the S5 nearly waterproof to a certain extend. ( but not like the Sony one ). For the USB 3.0 to 2.0, it seems they was some technical reason, but like the charge speed is faster, outside some transfer maybe. And this is just the first thing coming from Theverge Handon ... Lets wait the review. Strangely the first feeling of little preview i have seen seems say it is largely worth the upgrade from the 3.....

Think the note 5 will be out by the time I upgrade next may. I got the note 2 with a 64gb sd card in it for a long time.

What is this "fad" with "quad HD"? it's 1440p...and though 720p is "HD", who really feels that it is anymore? quad HD should be 4 times 1080p....just sayin

I've a note3, you can record in 4k and watch those vids on phone's 1080 display and they look great, i feel uber resolutions on something on this size has to take massive cutbacks in one tech dept or another. if it makes watchin 1080 vids sharper on phone then fine, and a level of water-proof too. recording 3d video for watchin on 3d sammy tele would be nice.

Thanks for pointing those out. Actually, if you pick a good cable and charger, charging is pretty quick with Note 3. If one buys a new phone this year and opts for the best, it's no longer Note 3 to buy, but rather 4 or Edge. I missed the heart sensor shutter button. It's a good idea, as well as improved mic array. Increased SPen precision, with addition of angle and rotation sensing are also great, yet most people don't use SPen extensively. I use it on a daily basis, but rather for drawing notes and schemes. If somebody has Note 1 or 2 or other older phone, Note 4/Edge look like some great upgrades. But if you have Note 3... well... I got mine last year and it doesn't feel outdated at all, which effectively prevents me from replacing it. I might get Note 4, but only if some phone in family breaks and I give mine to that phone's owner. Also, Note 3 prices should drop, making it a tasty pick for people who were considering an upgrade from older phone and it was too expensive. The only good reasons I can think of to upgrade from Note 3 to 4 are: when you use camera a lot (perhaps your job depends on it), especially in low-light conditions when you're some kind of designer that uses the SPen extensively when you don't care about money and just want the best no matter what when you got a good deal when buying your Note 3 and realize that the prices of the used ones are close to what you paid a year ago for it... hmm ๐Ÿ˜€

I was more speaking on the fact that companies lately are advertising "quad HD", which sounds like 4K for most people as the general populous that understands that 4K is 4 times the resolution of 1080p would then think that "quad HD" means the same thing. 1440p for a phone is by NO MEANS bad, 4K for a phone would simply be ridiculous, i'm just irritated by how they are advertising it as it seems more then one it is, even if it is amazing still.
