When this tech becomes available at ~32" at 4K for about £500, then I might consider it.

" however since a 85-inch UHD TV costs $40K / €29K, the price could be as big as its screen size." definitely!!!!!!

Aren't these UHD TV's still stuck at 30Hz? ...HDMI 2.0 hasn't released yet, so there's no way I'd invest in a TV that couldn't drive 60Hz. I still haven't seen a 120Hz monitor, but I'm sure when I do, I'll be saying "I'll never buy a TV that can't drive 120Hz." lol

Does it come with sun cream?

For that money, I'd rather repaint the livingroom, blockade the windows, buy some nice couches, and get an UHD projector.

For $150,000 you could buy a theater.

for $150.000 i could buy a tesla model x and a 105" DLP 1080p and still got money left

Hmm, looks nice and all but it would be a big too big for me. Also the price is laughable. But yeah it actually is cool.

this. Even for the cost of the 85" UHD ($40k) you could build a mindblowing home theatre 🙂 might even have some spare cash for a powerful enough PC to game at that resolution as well. either that or every games console and a HTPC to boot! whilst i'd love to own a TV like this one day, there is no way i'd pay any more than 5k for it, especially when you can get a UHD screen by samsung that is half the size for $4000 today.

Does it really cost that much to build that 85" HDTV? Even if its 4K? Its build from meteorite fragments? Really? $40K/29K? Even with all the costs included(R&D, PR, MANUF.) I highly doubt it costs a friggin $40K/€29K to build that HDTV. Oh yeah, its only for companies, ultra rich people.. Now it makes sense.. NOT!

at that size 3840 x 2160 is to small of resolution imo forget about the price tag it will have

I'm sure it comes with a lifetime warranty and would hopefully include shipping costs. Keep in mind the box is going to be really heavy, require at least 2 people to handle it, and is going to be considered very fragile. For something this huge, it probably requires a special truck to deliver it. I'm sure delivery insurance is also included with this. Another thing to consider is how its made. I'm not too familiar with the process of manufacturing LCD screens, but it wouldn't surprise me if this screen requires its own assembly line. lol just imagine if you found maybe 5 total dead pixels and demanded to replace the TV.

I'd have to sit way down at the bottom of my driveway to watch anything on this kind of TV, assuming that I was ever in a position to buy one in the first place. 😉
