What if we're going to see for instance GTX 1x60 with GDDR6 and HBM2 variations? What if we're going to see AMD cards with HBM2 and Nvidia with GDDR6? This latter would make sense, if it's true Nvidia is gonna use Samsung for 14nm GPU and while AMD already used HBM.

HBM takes less power and its still faster tech. GDDR6 has no future.
I think money is keeping old tech alive.

Is this a JEDEC standard or is Samsung doing their own thing? Also that doesn't "kill" HBM as a form factor. It merely provides nice alternatives for cards that won't have their own interposer.

I think it's JEDEC standard -- Samsung is doing it's own branding for HBM3 though for whatever reason.
