NFT Platform: This application features an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, purchasing and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame. Who the fuck wants this? It's like execs just see NFTs everywhere and go "WE NEED THIS IN OUR TVs - ENGINEERS, GET ON IT"

There is where I know I am getting old. I intellectually understand the NFT stuff, but I do not understand the economic relevance of this stuff. One buys a digital piece of "art" and then ? You sue anyone who will use it on his website ? And what about people selling their digital parts of body ? Crazy times ....

For pictures it makes no sense. As a replacement for contracts it could work if you built a robust enough repository and got various judicial systems to support it. Idk why the fuck I'd want it on a TV through whichever was the case. It's just marketing looking to put NTF on everything because it's the "new" thing.

NFT = Non-Fun Times

my suspicions have been proved correct re: miniLEDs... as they are too expensive for a standard sized (45-75") set (not being competitive with OLED panels) they are going to be the new high end VLD (very large display). and the NFT idiot idea is for those people who leave the set always on to display art they cannot afford - even for the folks who pony up for this. or for the fanboy who wants his "limited edition Disney NFT of Boba Fett" type-of-thing on his wall when not watching the tv.

But... you would be the only one that could use it as a screen saver. I really hope this is not a thing. Now way does this replace actual art, etc.....

As much as I want to like Samsung tv's, because they do put some top end stuff into them, they always seem plagued with DSE. More so than other big name companies. Sony is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone when it comes to this. And you can have an 8k tv with 4,000 nits and mini leds and amazing IQ, but if I see black bars or blotches during it all it's useless. Dirty Screen Effect is the #1 reason I stay away from Samsung.

qft. Until I don't have to have a digital rights attorney at work for me 24/7 I'd not be jumping in on real art nft trading. But as it is, nobody guarantees you anything with buying an NFT, it's basically just another abstract trading good / token, just like any other crypto, imho.

Creating artificial scarcity with digital “assets” is always funny.

Faith in humanity is at an all time low, or is human stupidity that at all time low, seriously wtf NTF need to be on tv? it infesting games and what not is bad enough

I'm a fan of decentralized finance and the idea behind crypto, but NFTs are just stupid in their present implementation. Here's an example: when you resize a (non-vector) image it becomes a fundamentally different file. When you make even a tiny change to an existing image you can claim its your work via creative license. There are just a million different ways in which in which any digital item can be a derivative of the original. Outside of being a large company, with assets to fight a court battle, you're never going to get paid for all the copied / plagiarized / pirate versions of your "unique digital content" that you "own".

I'm waiting on prices and reviews. NFT wont figure in my purchasing decision unless it prevents me displaying what I want, my display wont be connected online anyway. If NFT gets in the way even slightly I wont purchase a TV that has it.
