Note's are my fav of al the smartphones /small tablets, note3 is just fab, i had one for a while. me and smartphones don't mix though, i just end up sellin em. !? the pen was excellent on the note3, was a pleasure to use.

i dont really understand the significance of a curved phablet / smartphone. to me it just sounds like a big gimmick. only thing worthy of a mention from the leaks so far is the screen resolution bump, but even then its not enough to make me jump from a note3 to a note4

I'm so satisfied with my Note 3 too, that I wonder what they'd have to put inside Note 4 to make people consider an upgrade. Perhaps in other countries it looks different, but over here people are more and more aware of the cost of the phone. Even recently changed law requires carriers to explicitly state what part of the contract payment is for the phone itself. There are more and more interesting phone-less contract options, making people less likely to buy new phones. Having SGS2 before, I could still keep it, but well... I found a sweet deal and made myself an xmas gift 🙂 Effectively, having all Notes in family, I think that: Note 3 - I have no idea what they'd have to come up to make me and others upgrade. Note 2 - Upgrade to Note 3 wasn't obvious. It's a solid phone, and upgrading it to Note 3 felt like a waste of money. However contracts may have already expired, and the unfortunate back cover is slippery, so perhaps it's Note 2, not 3 users who are the target. Still, it's not an obvious switch. Note 1 - It's getting old, especially with limited app storage. Yet, it still works and does the job. The screen can't match the new phones, but I can't say that it's bad by any means. Note 4 (even Note 3) would be an obvious upgrade in this case, yet if you're short on $$$ or have other means of spending it, there's nothing bad in keeping the good old working Note 1.

They say it's follows the shape of your eyes. I think it's bull... If it was better then why wern't paintings 200 years ago curved aswell?

If the viewing angles were terrible, it would make sense. But with IPS or AMOLED displays, it's useless. However, there are some benefits of curved screen, and I can name 2: 1. It's less burdening when having such phone in pocket compared to the flat one. 2. If you place it screen down on flat surface, it's more difficult to scratch the screen with sand/dust, when you push the phone along named surface (yeah, a coworker of mine did it with my SGS2 and a dirty desk some time ago).

I was dubious too but there are tangible benefits to curved phones, namely reduced reflections and more screen area squeezed into same length.

whilst i understand the benefits mentioned, it still doesnt seem like a big enough improvement to be something worth spending millions of marketing dollars on. but thats just my opinion, take that how you like 🙂

From what I've read from previous rumours, Samsung mentioned there will be two versions of the Note 4. There will be a regular version as well as a curved design, both having the same specification. Can you verify this Hilbert?
