Striking design hahahahhahahaha!!! Does anybody here remember the differences between mobile phones before "smartphones"??? Every manufacturer had their own design! Every phone was different, You could guess which one it is when You take a look at the phone! Sony Ericsson, Siemens, Nokia, Panasonic, Motorola,..... that was the time of striking designs! Now You can see the difference only in camera positioning on the back side. So when i read striking design on new smartphone, i feel sick!

Tbh the s23 is exactly what i want - they got rid of what i disliked about the s22. Namely the camera bump, and the sh1tty exynos chips that only europe got shafted with - this time everyone gets snapdragon. So this phone might not be a major upgrade for 'muricans, but for EU this s23 is a big upgrade over s22.

I hate people who contributes nothing even remotely intelligent to the topic.
Guess which one has the thicker camera bump of your XS, and the s23...

I prefer the small but "make a difference" upgrades. I tend to upgrade every year and for me S21U -> S22U didn't seem that drastic but S23U is a good bump, now most people care about camera because thats the only new thing they can advertise really, higher MP/pixel binning, AI post processing etc... but for me I like the SoC upgrades
S21U -> S22U -> S23U
5nm (Samsung) -> 4nm (Samsung) -> 4nm (TSMC)
LPDDR5 3200MHz -> LPDDR5 3200MHz -> LPDDR5X 4200MHz
UFS 3.1 -> UFS 3.1 -> UFS 4.0
And other stuff but battery life of the S23U gets really close to iPhone 14 Pro Max and we all know how crazy the A16 Bionic is so its not bad that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is getting closer each time. We also get Light Profile (came with the Fold/Flip) now if you want even longer battery. Things such as larger phase change sinks that help with heat and faster GPU overall makes tweaks here and there for a more solid phone. We all know Samsung process isn't the best, look at all the GPUs we had in the past, then when you go to TSMC suddenly the next series of cars are even faster! And its not so bad (IMO) that the looks stays because often times new designs look ugly.
