Not only silly but counterproductive and a burden to the customers. Remember, we're basically paying for these companies to fight a fight we didn't ask for. While I get the impression LG isn't quite as successful in the display market, I also get the impression both companies are just about equal when it comes to quality and desirable features. I'm glad they're coming to their senses, but in reality, there needs to be some serious revisions to the patent system. There are way too many loopholes.
