Probably not,that Z390 cpu's a already manufactured or very close to manufacturing , remember that they need to manufacture cpu's months in advance before sales begun

I'm also stoked to see the new AM4 motherboards and I hope for an MATX model that has 8 USB-ports in the back panel, wifi and bluetooth integrated, one free M2 NVME slot, decent heatsinks, only PCI-E slots instead of PCI, optical audio out input and one DisplayPort, one HDMI and one DVI.

If the ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming K4 has the same features as the X370 variant, I may upgrade my motherboard.... Don't see a reason to upgrade processors though. The X370 variant has an M.2 slot for wifi cards. My MSI B350 Tomahawk is the most feature-lacking board I've bought in the last 10 years. They even chose one of the absolute worst integrated audio chipsets on the market....

Should, but at the same time, unless the ryzen refresh offers a lot more imporvements (which you shouldn't expect, Ryzen 2 is when that should happen) then there likely won't be a reason to upgrade processors from the r7 1700.

Oh boy, oh boy! Can't wait for the new Ryzen and X470 chipset combo to be launched... I'm counting days over here... hope it's sooner than March!

When I bought the board, it was only intended to be a temporary component just to get me to Zen2..... However, since buying the board, I've rediscovered why I hate Realtek. Their integrated NICs are horrendous. Fortunately, I managed to locate my Broadcom NIC to install.

No reason why you cant use a 3rd party soundcard, I was using a sound blaster Z with my Tomahawk, one of the best budget AM4 boards on the market, and now I'm using an Gaming Pro AE-5 with a MSI Gaming Pro Carbon X370, I don't do on-board unless its something like a Gigabyte Sniper with Creative Audio built on. As for the NIC's the higher end boards come with an Intel NIC

Having all 3 PCI Express slots so close together limits what you can install. The second PCIe x1 slot should have been further down the board. Yes I know what you mean about the PCI-e x1 slot, The X370 gaming pro carbon that I'm using has a PCI-e x1 slot just above the 1st x16 slot which sits my Sound card just right, also has 2 x M.2 slots, Ive got 2x512gb Samsung Evo 960s in them, the 1st one I use for windows and programs and runs like lightening at PCI-e 3.0x4 wired direct to the CPU , and the 2nd one for games a bit slower at PCI-e 2.0x4 due to being connected to the PCH, zero hard drives in my computer, just a 4tb western digital external drive for back ups like music, pictures, downloads etc. I Graphics card is currently mounted vertically in a modded Corsair Crystal 570x giving me access once again to all of the other PCI slots. I don't do WiFi myself from my main PC to my hub, I need a more stable reliable connection, so I use the LAN port, its an Intel NIC too. Was hoping that X470 brought nvme RAID to the table, but unfortunately it doesn't look like that going to happen, so I don't think i'll be upgrading to RyZen 2 this time, probably just wait for Zen2 next year.

You could use any of the PCI-e x16 slots, just make sure its not a slot that shares its lanes with the 1st PCI-e x16 slot, otherwise its going to dump your graphics card into x8 speeds.
