Now if we can get some sub $200 USD MB with CL30 or lower DDR5 to match but the X3D VC probably could care less of any bog standard RAM.

Wonder how many with the 5800X3D will skip the 7K series?

If I owned a 5800X3D, I would certainly skip the 7K series. In fact, sometimes I consider getting a 5K series because of the price:performance.

Im gonna wait for 7800x3d and replace my 7600x with that. No need to rush.

The 5800x3d and a 4070 TI at 1440p 144Hz is an excellent and smooth gaming experince. Most game titles now have frame rates that exceed what my monitor can produce. My current 5800x3d pc was built just over one month ago as the AM5 pricing was very high at release. Remember when the x570 motherboards were released? A $200 x570s motherboard now seems like a bargain compared to AM5 motherboard pricing. Do I intend to upgrade in the next few years? Not at all, hopefully just a gpu in a few years to squeeze every last penny out of the AM4 platform. I got a good 7-8 years out of my i7 920 x58 rig 🙂 I switched from 1080p to 1440p five years ago, would never go back. Todays gpu's are little get closer to giving 4k to the masses and OLED technology is getting cheaper. The cpu is becoming less the issue relative to frame rates. Any middle of the road cpu can handle 4k. I don't need 300 FPS at 1080p, no "pro-gamer" here. I am hopefull the next upgrade would be to 27"-32" OLED rather than the cost of building a new pc. The OLED would be cheaper than the new pc build itself. Then update to a 4k gpu. But I forsee my pc gaming days coming to a close the older I get. I remember as a child seeing Pong in a shopping mall in the early 1970's. I've been hooked ever since.
