Imagine testing coolers on that thing daily... what a nightmare to clean 😱

I highly doubt it will look like that - you want as much metal as possible to help with cooling, so doesnt make any sense to make those cutouts.

It only has cut outs in the feet, not the heat spreader itself 🙂

It also seems kind of pointless to make them more complicated from a manufacturing point of view. You only see a CPU when it's outside of the system, so making it look cool or something doesn't seem overly relevant, over any other factors to consider. I wonder how those IHS parts are even made. Cold forging? The more complicated the shape, the worse the outcome. I find it hard to believe they would be machined. Maybe hot forging can be used. I haven't got a clue.

I guess the purpose may be to make them harder to delid. Other than that, I can't see any reason for such a design, except saving some material cost.

The machining certainly make it more expensive, not worth it. Looks ugly too, I hope they make it more streamlined.

That's what asked about in my post above, throwing 7000 series left and right, like we already know... but apparently no one cares, OP most of all.... meh. edit: Also fix your forum guru3d, it's working horrible on Firefox, and Chrome too apparently. For a few days I keep getting these errors: "The server responded with an error. The error message is in the JavaScript console." and this one too "An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later."
you ok bro?

Zoom fast here with Chrome!.....must be your ISP if you're having trouble with two separate browsers.

Could be, but I just checked Brave and Firefox, both working fine!, Edge still won't load the pages but the forum is fine, really weird, I've never had this problem before, maybe an update borked something, I'll check it out if it continues.
I see you're on the "edge" of finding your problem...:D

it would likely offer a structural advantage , if they were do an inter-poser and/or vertical die stacking(fragile) with the intent of using high mounting pressure. an unrealistic design and 95% chance of being fake, ,but there are potential reasons for something like that.

I hate Google, I won't use it.... Sent from my android phone... FFS The less of two evils......
Get an de-Googled phone. Projects like /e/, CalyxOS, GrapheneOS , LineageOS can help one to take the least beaten path. If you feel really adventurous, Ubuntu Touch or Sailfish OS can be even less mainstream solutions.

I have no issues on any other sites or any other forums or any kind of internet related issues... only here in the forums. The guru3d website works ok, though. It took me 6 tries to open this page and post this, with multiple errors and very very slow loading each time.
Firefox, Chrome, Edge, working fine...no probs here...maybe your isp? btw, downloading new FS2020 update in background...

That´s a good idea!! Although Google does not annoy me that much, I really want to get rid off this "Samsung Galaxy store" and "Samsung Galaxy account" rubbish on my S10e, to assign the "Bixby button" to an application or function of my chioce without being forced to open or login to a "samsung or gmail account"
