Sure i can. Used gtx1080 atm are going for 440-500eur same as used rx580 8gb.

I'd do it without thinking twice. But do extensive visual+torture checks of that 1080 before swaping. GTX 1080 should serve you better and bit longer than RX 580, for gaming of course, but you already know that. Last year had a chance to compare in our gaming PCs at home RX 580 (OK, it was at stock, card was not mine so didn't wanted to push/risk the card to it's limits, only fan curve was manualy adjusted for more agressive cooling so it could boost a bit higher/longer on stock freq/volt settings) and our few STRIX 1070 OC cards tuned to around 1070Ti level wiped the floor with that RX 580. Stock 1080 would obliterate RX 580 in 1080p and 1440p, add a bit of OC to 1080 and those two would be in completely different league... Do it...

Yes but there is more to it. Idk what kinda condition are those cards selling right now. Could be mining all day we cant tell. My card is perfect. Great temperatures, overclocks to almost 590 lvl and i know it was never used for mining. I also didnt use nvidia card since 8800gt so it would be a bit strange. Wanted the 6700xt but at 900eur i dont want it.

Chances are high, almost 100% that those used 1080 selling right now were (ab)used for mining past few years when it was profitable to use 1070 and 1080. RX 580 is more profitable for mining than both of these so that's why anyone selling 580 right now could ask even more money than what used 1080 is selling for. What a crazy situation/world we are living in atm... 😡 I wouldn't risk swaping 580 to 1080 knowing 1080 came from a miner, those cards are now around 4-5 years old, almost each one of them.
