No chance of any new Nvidia GPU this year, no rumours of "chip tapeouts" at any of the foundries TSMC, Samsung, GF. Not a single leak from any of these very large companies with many hundreds of staff. Zero "shipping documents" of test cards. If a product was nearing readiness https://www.bing.com/th?id=Acbff1db15069fb37a87cbf8a4eacf8fe&w=110&h=110&c=12&rs=1&qlt=80&pcl=f9f9f9&cdv=1&pid=16.2 Jen-Hsun "Jensen" Huang Would have been jumping up and down, screaming for the ceilings about his fabulous new card that's about to hit the market. Just a big fat zip, that's right nothing, Nvidia has no competition so just like INTEL they have lengthened their development cycle whilst selling bulk cards to the desperados that think bitcoin mining is the key to wealth. Jensen will keep selling what he's already got until the mining craze ends as it will, miners don't care how many frames per sec they get on a UHD monitor. It's next April for 1180, 2080, Turing, Volta, Einstein or perhaps he'll name the card after himself and we can all buy a "Jensen".

It's not coming out this year or early next year. Maybe in a year and a half or a bit less. I think this same dude said at CES no new GeForce gaming cards for at least a year if not more ; some time in 2019. However they will make video editing and 3D studio max cards that cost a arm and a leg.

Well on the Gtx 980/970 release. It was announced August 29th 2015 that they would be released next month. The cards were then released September 19th. So 20 day heads up is still in the window for a 1180/Volta/Turing/Tesla/Partridge in a pear tree SUPRISE RELEASE. I was on board for July 30th but one person reporting that he had more than one person tell him July 30th does not make for a release date. My intellectual side says sorry no word until August 20th 2018 and no release until 2019, but my untrusting side of corporate scaly wags says they are burning off their current supplies and lying to us. Soooo my scenario goes like this...July 4th announcement of Volta based Gpu to be released July 30th priced at $849/$749 respectively 1180/1170. If no word by July 4th then open a Christmas savings account and be ready to pony up your savings for April 2019 Volta Gpu release.:(

End of the year maybe(in time for Christmas), so paper launch in Sept. The silence is killing me!

holler:

Glad I jumped the nvidia ship, nvidia treats their customers like sheep imho with the way they withhold info.
Everyone withholds info on upcoming products. The last thing you want is for everyone to hold their money and wait for the new product which kills your third party card manufacturers and retailers. AMD has a long history of leaking release dates and its never been to their benefit.

Well well, now the scuttlebutt is a July30th ANNOUNCEMENT of a new Gpu, for a September 2018 release of Fe Gpu. All kinds of crazy prices being guessed at as high as $1400! My best guess is $749-$799 for FE Gpu. And now with announcement of Intel getting into mainstream Gpu for 2020 is a great thing! Also August 21st is Gamescom in Germany. Maybe the Gpu will be shown/announced/released then?
