You need to be like in 0.26m distance (taking in count average human visual acuity) to actually immerse anything. I do not understand how marketing moves to bigger monitors on desktop and smaller monitors on laptops? My 2009 acer laptop has 18.4" monitor and it costed 1k back then was the pinnacle or amongst the best. Also weight on 2kg seems very light. The cutoffs on nowadays machines are discusting (cooling/built quality). Again Asus 752VT sometime ago was 4kg and it was 1.700MSRP (yeat that one was 17" though).
