Kinda curious what your issue is with it? I had an XTD for years before upgrading to the 502 (mostly for the sensor) but I never really had any issues with the XTD. Their software was kinda bloated/wonky (CONGRATULATIONS YOU'VE WON A TROPHY) but I actually thought the hardware was pretty well constructed.

Love my Roccat Kone Aimo especially after I fitted a pinkie rest to it. I hope the new stuff will be just as good :)

"...as good or better..." What I want is same or better quality. From logical point of view I do not want worse quality. (It is still my brand of choice for mouses.)

I've been using Roccat mice for a few years now and I love them. I recently bought that vulkan keyboard too because I really like the look but the software does need a bit of work.

For me at least was kinda...bittersweet. Bought kova +, ang the wheel button just stopped working after 8 months followed by the classic double click issue in the left button, of course can be fixed opening the switch and bending the little spring metal inside it, BUT, that just can last long enough until a caveman like me with saussage finger end up aplying to much force to bend the metal and it broke. 2 years for a mouse sounds lame, that was like 5 years ago. Moving forward to two years ago, I bought a kova pure 2016 model which is what? the spititual succesor of the kova +(?), a little longer, heavier and with more buttons than kova+, BUT, same shitty switches 8 months and the middle wheel buttoin is completely useless, and the right button just with double click problems. Ended up buying spare omron chinesse cheap switches and asked to my nephew who is studying electronic engineering to weld them for me. For me they are quite as** mice, although the easy shift function is the one function that actually makes me just stand with the brand, the software of the kova+ was superb, when you switched from game to game or to windows the profile switch was immediate, reasingning or changing macron was as well a responsive experience. In the other hand, the new software is slow as f***, you HAVE TO download it and update it or otherwise you cannot use the other functions which is absolutely horse*****, just tabbing from a game to desktop you have to or have to click on the desktop area to make the stupid software change profile and it takes 2-3 secs. I do not know other mice with that handy "easy shift" function like roccat mice have, but I´ve read riotoro have a mouse with that exact same function so i might actually try it next time my mouse decides goes full ape.

On my 1st edition Kone, wheel broke. Fixed it 3 times till I was no longer able to repair it. Lasted for quite some years. Then I got myself Kone XTD Optical which I have even today. Had to replace wheel switch (taken from previous Kone). Works fine for now. What I like on those mouses is that their shape is very comfortable. Profiles are inside mouse, therefore once programmed, one does not need software in computer. One can export profiles for later use, modification. (I have just 2 profiles now instead of 5 and switch button in 1st goes to 2nd and in second goes to 1st, therefore no cycling those I do not use.) With profile modifications, I took a look at those binary codes representing actions and found mouse down and up actions. Therefore my second profile does exactly 1 click upon pressing/holding LMB. (Press/hold of button makes just one shot and has to be released and tapped again for another shot. Perfect for any FPS.) Moved LMB to RMB and RMB to Wheel. Which is not possible via software directly, but it will write your customized config into mouse without issue. Their multiple stage DPI can be changed as one likes to any value within range and one can as well disable it. Neither of those mouses had any HW level movement acceleration, therefore are precise. Their surface calibration works wonders and lift-off distance works too. Kone is Palm grip mouse, if they made smaller claw grip version, I would get it just to have alternative when I am in mood for different hold. Same goes for force required to push trigger. I would not mind version with switches having lower resistance. (But that's product customization, not really feature missing.) = = = = Side note, I have seen some much cheaper mouses (where I can't judge build quality/tracking precision) having different fire modes out of the box. I kind of like metallic sliders some other mouses have as they do work better on cloth than Roccat's silica sliders on hard grainy mouse pad. (And cost factor is on another level. Mouse sliders from metal are going to outlive mouse itself and one can buy 10 quality mouse pads for price of one hard surface plastic/teflon.) Good cost management allows one to buy new mouse instead of mouse pad. That means Roccat has space for improvements even while their products are already good.

I once bought a Turtle Beach keyboard, but I returned it the next day. In the store's high ambient background noise I couldn't hear the full truth of how it'd sound like in the silence of one's own home. I was ready for something like a typical mechanical keyboard's switch noise, but in addition to that every key press produced a really distinct, high frequency sound, which was bloody annoying. I guess with this purchase they wanted to gain some expertise.
