Even at max oc it just comes close. No future driver will ever change that.

Overclocked 980 ti matches overclocked 1070. Sure there will be some games where 1070 will lead on 980 ti, but what gives it's new tech and has some improvements.

Time will tell if the 1070 will pull ahead in dx12 games, but even if it does I doubt it'll be more than ~+5%. It'll be a negligible difference during the practical lifetime of both cards.

Not to mention, the 980ti won't even be an option to buy soon enough anyways. It will remain a great card for years, even with it slowly losing ground to newer tech. But it's old tech now and anyone not buying the 1070 at the same price or less may regret that down the road.
That one narcissistic user has (for years) been pimping how incredible his current GPU is (whatever it may be) and always letting us know how it compares to everything else on the market. No matter what gear you have, it's probably really not that great and over-priced compared to his amazing GPU. *snore*
Anyways, these 1060's look like really good cards for the money.
