This software package adds driver support for Intel Wi-Fi 7 products, specifically the Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE202 and Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE200 adapters. The main objective of version 23.40.0 is to ensure compatibility with both Windows® 10 and Windows 11 operating systems for a range of Intel® Wireless Adapters. For systems running Windows® 10 (64-bit) and Windows 11, the package includes driver version 23.40.0.4 supporting models BE202, BE200, AX411, AX211, AX210, AX203, AX201, AX200, AX101, 9560, 9462, 9461, and 9260. Additionally, version 19.51.50.2 is available for the 7265 (Rev. D), 3168, and 3165 adapters. For Windows® 10 (32-bit), driver version 19.51.40.1 supports the 7265 (Rev. D), 3168, and 3165 models.
Key Points to Note:
- Some Intel Wireless Adapters' drivers remain unchanged from the previous release. Users with these specific adapters may not need to update if their current driver version matches.
- Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE202 and BE200 support the 6GHz band, contingent upon Windows 11 operating system compatibility. These adapters will operate with Wi-Fi 6E capabilities on Windows 11 until further OS support is available for Wi-Fi 7 features.
- Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE200 is designed to automatically support Wi-Fi 6E + EHT features when connected to a Wi-Fi 7 router or access point.
- Starting from the release 22.220.0 package, drivers for the discontinued Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 and 8265 are excluded. Users are advised to refer to specific support pages for these models.
- The Intel® Wireless 7265 Family (Rev.C), Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160, and Intel® Wireless 7260 Family adapters are declared End-of-Life (EOL), with no further driver updates.
- The driver version for Intel® Wireless 7265 Family adapters might display differently due to security updates. The last Windows 10 32-bit driver version is 19.51.40.1, included in package 22.160.0.
- From the release 22.100.X onwards, a unified INF file, Netwtw06e.INF, will support all Wi-Fi 6E adapters, facilitating installation for current and future models.
