Correct me if I am wrong, but I didn't see a price mentioned in the review. I can find it for ~500 euro in Germany, which I think is a crazy price considering you can get something like a Ubiquiti U6-LR with Wi-Fi 6, for around 200 euro. The greatest difference between them is that the EnGenius includes the Cloud access, and it has meshing. If someone doesn't care about those two parts, I would say that the AP is quite overpriced, especially for the performance.

And that is why they have models that don't include such features. The Engenius AP not only has Mesh And Cloud access, it also has active wireless intrusion detection and remediation systems, BLE low energy features, and more advanced VLAN capabilities. What does all that mean to us? Absolutely nothing. It's a total waste of money for home use and even for most business environments. I'm still in the market for a decent access point and am probably going to buy an Ubiquiti U6-LR and finally get rid of my old TP link Archer C9 set to AP mode. I'm running a little PFSense box installed on a Lenovo Thinkcentre m900 Tiny. It blows away performance wise any consumer grade router and the amount of customization and control you have over your network is incredible. But if you're not already a network admin, it may be a bit overwhelming.
