I have a decent but aging router and I am on the lookout for a new one but really it's gotta support at least 2.5ghz on the wifi ports.

These products are kind of bad value for the price compared to what you can get in non-gamery gear.

You mean 2.4? There is no 2.5GHz band for wifi. Unless you meant 2.5Gbps, in which case, I don't think such a thing exists over wifi and likely won't [affordably] any time soon.

I picked one up 2 weeks ago on Newegg Shocker deal for $399 USD. It's worth every penny. Fastest router I've owned. I get the full bandwidth of my Cable Modem (450Mbs) over Wi-Fi with rock solid stable 2Gbs wifi connections w/WPA3. I put a mini PCIe AX210 on my mobo some time ago and with this upgrade I can finally utilize 6E. My laptop, tablet, and S22 Ultra all support 6E. My IoT devices use 2.4Ghz band and TVs and consoles use the 5Ghz band. It's nirvana. Hilbert nailed the coverage as well. I'm covering 3200 Sq. ft. indoors and outdoors with this single router. No more AiMesh. The media server with a USB 3.0 SSD is top notch. It is a sizeable router but surprisingly blends in well with the office decor on my router stand. The large RGB led is quite nice and I'm not a big fan of RBG lighting. Only downside, the software UI is craptasatic but you can always setup and manage with the ASUS router phone app which is a much more pleasing user experience.

A non-gamery router wouldn't look like the witch-king's helmet, though. A serious compromise.

I'll Stick with my Linksys with 8 Gigabit ports, thank you. 4 is not good enough.

LOL, there's only one Cat 5 in my house; a 3' from cable modem to router.
100ft cat 5 from my living room to bedroom lol
