Clearly... It would also boost AMD on simple pro station, that use Intel due to IGP or are obliged to combine AMD + a GT 710 to have equivalent (exept the last gen 4000 (OEM) and 5000 G/GE, APU Ryzen were limited to 4c/4t or 4c/8t... a bit limited for some task despite enough power for home private use). Great news for AMD.

Finally more than 8 GPU CUs...

BLEH!:

I get a slight feeling they are preemptively ramping the gpus on their apus because xe seems to be almost here . Is safe to assume intel will try to make competitors to the 5600g and 5700g etc etc

Potentually, though knowing intel they probably won't make them socketed/overclockable. Broadwell was the last time they did anything remotely GPU-related for DT, and those are still pretty competitive chips these days given the L4 cache, if a bit hamstrung by 4 cores.

I am not sure i mean their cpus are apus since the sandybridge era .

I mean *technically* yes, but the GPUs were rarely good enough to game on until the current gen (if Xe turns out to be any good), or with the Broadwell-DT CPUs.

Possible it will match gtx 1060 performance ?

I think it will be a real success if it catches the 1050ti ? But if it manage to catch a 1060 even better ! We will have to wait for the reviews !
