Yeah, even though 2 isn't listed for a PC release, I'm reasonably confident that it will be released afterwards. Possibly Spring/Summer 2019.
I still haven't played the first game, and the only last gen console I still own is the PS3 which I've read is the worst version, so I keep holding off for a PC version. It's very unlikely now as Rockstar haven't really taken advantage of the "HD Remaster" craze. I'm sure i read that porting RDR to X1/PS4 is considered more hassle than it's worth though, so definitely no PC version.
If the X1X offered backwards compatibility that upped the resolution and framerate of 360 games I think I would buy one, and theoretically it should be possible if even the standard X1 can emulate them at 720/30.

IF they make a PC port, in the good way of the word "port" like with GTA V which was sublime, then just like with that it will have to be at least 2 years after console release, so mid 2020 would be my bet.
I'm a huge sucker for western movies and I'm so pissed that they never released RDR1 for PC and now RDR2 looks amazing... would be an even bigger miss. 🙁

Pretty sure the studio who made RDR1 also works on RDR2 and they never made a PC game, hence we will never see a PC port for RDR2 either.
They're not skilled enough to make PC games.

Rockstar San Diego are the ones who made Red Dead Redemption.
They have been involved in multiple PC releases of games

They have been a part of:
L.A. Noire
Max Payne 3
Grand Theft Auto V
But regardless of all that, RDR 2 is being made by "Rockstar Studios", or aka: a collaborative effort between Rockstar Vancouver, Rockstar London, Rockstar Toronto, Rockstar New England, Rockstar San Diego, Rockstar Leeds and Rockstar North.

If you haven't signed the petition to bring RDR2 to PC on change.org please do so. I signed up for it last August and after just checking today it's got 63K signers. If that number can get 100K I think it would be a big enough milestone to get Rockstar to do something about it.... hopefully

Signed it since it can't do any harm, but i don't believe it will make the slightest bit of difference, especially not with a low amount like 100k.
I believe Rockstar have already made their mind up whether there will be a PC version, and that is probably based on GTAV.
Looking at how well that game has done, i'm pretty confident there will be a PC version at one point.

I don't see why they won't make a PC version considering how good and how good GTAV still sells right now, it often tops the steam charts, or least is around the top 10...
Don't see why they wouldn't do it from a business stand point... though RDR1 might never come out, due to it being on old architecture and old consoles... then again never thought we would get beyonetta but we did so yeah...
