Is it just me or these games (sniper elite series) do really look REALLY nice (considering the engine of course)... maybe is the pace of the game that allows you comtemplate in detail the enviroment. Other FPS-like game seems pretty ****ign "ugly" and plain at least for me I´ve not felt excited for any FPS title since BF bad company 2

Been meaning to get started on the 1st one for a while. Got the 1st two games in a HumbleBundle a while back. Feels like the right time to play them now, feeling in the mood for this type of game at the moment. It should make a nice change of pace and style 🙂

I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it will combine aspects of #2 and #3 and become my favorite of the series. 🙂

I only played the second and liked it, my only beef is i wish it had a contant steath aproach avaible instead of only few missions.

Rebellion Sucks Original Sniper Elite was a gem. Bought it for Mac and PC. Sniper Elite II was a messy rehash of many original SE campaigns. Sniper Elite III was a disaster; as with SEII visual peel-back of bullet damage did nothing for each part of the game and the story arc was weak. My suspicions are that Sniper Elite IV will be as dull as SEIII - Zombies are for children as are the visuals accompanying body shots. Why not attempt a WWI Sniper Game, Rebellion; mud, trench-foot, gas, no-man's land, the screaming men dying slowly in NML - Mercy Killings - Reconnoitring Military HQ's set in chateau's and taking out Generals and military staff. So much scope for gameplay. And Snipers were used frequently in WWI unlike WWII where the Germans were late to the sniping game. My final gripe with the Rebellion Franchise is that I paid for the Ultimate Version Sniper Elite III and it was heavily discounted a day later due to lack of sales and restricted storage space. No refund was offered; no free code for Sniper Elite III Trilogy. Nada. They just took the money from a long-term patron and gave me and other customers the finger. Charming bunch.

Why "total disaster"? Let see: -Generic objectives, -Quick written sketchy story, -Awful flat narrative, -Idiotic enemy AI, -Poor stealth elements, -Half-baked relocation mechanics, -Boring protagonist, -Infeastation of bugs, glitches... Game with words "Sniper" and "Elite" in the tittle should be sniping/stealth with action/shooter elements. But SE3 is only sniping themed generic shooter with slow-motion macabre kill X-Ray sequences... Of course, this is only my "crazy" opinion hehe 😉
