"the Viper Ultimate sets new standards for both accuracy and speed" Anyone else hate these self-proclamations?

But its actually true, this new razer is the best mouse you can get at the moment.

I own a Razer DeathAdder Elite and no matter what people tell you, they still don't make too high quality products. I guess they are fine enough, but you are always afraid something is going to break. Also the Synapse software often starts up slowly so your DPI will be different than usual for ten seconds when you boot your computer. This may sound like a nitpick, but it gets annoying if you boot up your computer every day. Even if this mouse lasts me long, unlike my two previous DeathAdders which lasted for two years each, I will not buy Razer anymore. The wheel in every DeathAdder got too loose too quickly, though I don't know if any mouse retains the firm feel very long. I recently tried out the shape of Logitech G403 mouse and it felt even better than DeathAdder, which I always thought to be most likely the best for my hand. You should always try different mice at a shop if you can, since you may miss the best shape otherwise. I know Razer is often a market leader in having the best sensor and stuff, but really the most important thing for any gamer is the shape and these days it is very difficult to notice the differences between sensors above the price of 40 €. Hard to say if wireless mice perform differently, but I really doubt it in the premium price category. Go for the best quality and fit!

I like the mouse bungee approach over wireless. Feels the same to me and you don't have to pay the wireless tax. You could buy 2 for less than the price of 1 and have a backup.

Genuinely curious if there are facts/testing to back that up? I'm always a little dubious of manufacturer claims.

Supposedly compares well against the other ultralight mice like the Model O or any of those overpriced finalmouse mice. The corded version of this mouse got great reviews a few months ago.

let me share my opinion on razer considering i had 2 deathadder 2013 1 deathadder elite 1 naga chroma and last one naga trinity all of them failed on the omron switches the last one the trinity is still on warranty right click failed after 7 months so i said ok let me buy a redragon cobra fps m711, it has a pmw3360 and optical switches too and it costed 25 bucks and im amazed how good it does honestly, so from my point of view im done with razer mices as they definetely are overpriced.

Logitech mice fail on omron switches too. My last 3 logitech mice started to double click within 2 years. I wish they would make the switches replaceable.

Honestly i could love with 2 years but with razer is a matter of months and paying 100 euros for each one im not bothering with them anymore last from them is the trinity which i need to send to warranty and i think il sell it as after warranty the omrons will fail again in matter of months

i actually might get this mouse, i owned two death adder before, one lasted me like 6 years, with a lot of path of exile and diablo 3 on it, i currently have a logitech g900, i really love the mouse but its a bit small for my hand, and im not going back to a wired mouse, so its either the hero, steelseries or this one

I'm raising this thread from the depths because I'm also suffering terrible switch failure with Corsair and Logitech mice, so bought the Redragon Cobra M711-FPS. Coming from a G502 Hero, the M711 is great, very good performance, switches, mousewheel, tracking, comfort/feel... has enough buttons and is quite pretty. The main switches being optical should put an end to the charade of highly unreliable mice. And the price is great, currently £30. Razer have optical switch mice but you dont get to use features without their bloat software. To use it you have to create an account and it unashamedly sends information back to them without your consent. wtf? This report from 2012 when it first released is worrying! https://news.softpedia.com/news/Razer-Won-t-Let-You-Use-the-Mice-Keyboards-You-Bought-If-You-Don-t-Get-Its-Spyware-304784.shtml Its like they dont want customers, they succeeded 😉
