Awesome update! I do wonder how reliable a gun mounted shield would be realistically when taking fire as bullet impact would make the gun accuracy virtually impossible. A gun mounted shield however would have made more sense but I guess that would make defending too difficult.

I do wonder it too. From my pov it looks like devs want to make defense more dynamic as it is right now, because this shield negates camping and forces some flanking maneuvers (shields operators do it already, but they are not as fast as Blackbeard and they are easy to kill with c4)
