The problem that most of these coolers have is that they don't do anything for the VRM. There must be a way to have some kind of modular part to cool these too.

^^ Yep my MSI GAMING 980Ti has this and its awesome. I slapped on an Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme IV cooler and just left the backplate off as the card already has a front and back plate. I then got some low profile pure copper heatsinks and stuck them onto the SFC chokes on the board to help keep them cool too. Now my GPU is happy at 1580/8020 with only +15Mv
