Great review as always @Hilbert Hagedoorn , well done. Too expensive for what it is , better off paying $50 dollars more and get the rx 6800xt , but wait for the prices to fall.

Yeah the price is a little awkward. This GPU is pretty appealing to me - benches right about what I want, but depending on when prices drop and by how much, I could see myself opting for a 6800 instead.

299 would be a good GPU but yeh, pay the difference and upgrade.

Lets be little more realistic. You dont really expect 299$ when nvidia is selling regular 4060 for that price. The 399$ would be the right choice for 7700xt and i bet after few months it will drop to that level.

Here in the UK looking at one e-tailer the price is £/$ matched. £450+/- Ty for review and informative conclusion HH. 🙂

If AMD lower the price to £400 the 7700 XT could become this gens best selling mid range card

To make the 7800XT look cheaper, in a couple of months they will lower 7700XT price to 375

Yup - AMD's strategy has always seemed to release at a price that their diehard fans will pay but then a month or two later drop the prices to something more reasonable. This strategy also helps in the event people compare MSRP from previous years. Where the strategy doesn't work so well is in terms of how the GPU's value look on first-day reviews, especially when drivers are still immature. Considering a lot of reviewers do not revisit old hardware, I think AMD is a lot better off starting off with their 2-month price tag.

I think the card is actually nice, but the price is to close to the 7800 XT, trying to make this last one (or the remaining 6800 XT) the better deal. Price need to reduce a little bit, but if the stock of 6700 XT is still high they need to sell that first. The Black Friday season could bring some interesting promotions for the RDNA2 lineup.

They really do. Its kind of like a long term investment that pays off. My 6800xt is almost 3 years old.

Hi, will my PSU(Seasonic gx 550w gold) be ok to run this GPU with my ryzen 5 5600x, i did a rough computation/estimate(Board, SSDs, Fans, CPU, HDD, RAM and 7700xt ) of how much wattage my whole build will pull and come up with around 380-400 watts. so that'll be 70% continues load on my 550w psu. will this be ok ?

Looks like a solid card, but the price is all messed up. Both AMD and Nvidia are guilty of that.
