MSRP, the card Is high priced. If they are actually sold at MSRP, it a better deal than the present inflated price. What a strange GPU market is are in.

Well, I guess I'm skipping this generation too... Nearly $500 for a mid-range GPU is stupid.

So... we talking about AMD raising their MSRP from 5700XT to 6700XT or is it only Nvidia that's raising prices? 😀 Honestly, whatever card you can get to the etailer (besides 3090 maybe), they just sell. I hope AMD can offer this by the masses, so at least people have a chance to buy something they like, instead of complaining about prices and not even getting a card even if you want to buy one.

This whole situation made 1080TI cards ever better deal than before. What's the point to announce a "mid range" card that is already out of stock???

This msrp screams stagnation in performance for dollar, $600cad for this gtx 1080 was the best value to performance I have ever gotten. Even now if i could get cards at msrp i would have to pay the same for very little increase to performance.

@moab600 it just shows that marketing is a machine that you can't stop, I learned recently that supermarket sales where decided one year before they happened regardless of the current costs of the products (like milk or other natural foods) and we've seen that COVID or not the "train" continues whatever is happening, they still make "saturday only sales everyone gather that one day to get the best prices" here which makes non sense and should be illegal in our current situations announcing paper launches is "soft" compared to that

Same. I got my 5700 for 300 euro and got 85% faster performance compared to rx480 8GB. For 500 euro I should get double the performance but this won't even be close. = Not worth it.

Still kicking myself for not buying some 5700 priced at 299€. Was a very short time offer and I stupidly missed it.

People, let's skip 2021 (and 2022)... maybe things will be better in 2023. Hmm, where did I put that flux capacitor... ... also my DeLorean doesn't seem to start. Rats. Guess I'll have to just ride these s**tty years the old fashion way...

seems a very high price. the 6800 was 549 and this 479? Seems AMD is ripping us off in this case?

Every day I say a little prayer for my 6yo R9 290. Just a few more months, lil buddy :')

479 for 6700x and 579 for 6800. Ofc its nowhere near that price.

Ok so, 100 dollar less on 579 is 18% discount. But we are moving from 40 CU to 60, a 33% cut and a 25% cut in memory. This is what i meant. I loos a third of the power, a fourth of the memory and i get discounted 18%. I feel like is a bad deal. Even at MSRP.

The sad part is that even if both were at MSRP the performance would suck compared to the 3060Ti and sadly still suck at RT worse. AMDs pricing is going bonkers(MSRP at least)

AMD will be making 100%+ profit per card at that MSRP. This is comical.

it is this card will compete against 3060ti which "has the msrp" of 399, dlss and useable rt not even worth debating tho, they could set msrp to 150 or 600 for this, wouldn't matter.
