What a travesty, was expecting these cards to cost $349 to $449 at most. AMD might be getting too big for their britches. Anyway, despite the VRAM deficit the 3060 Ti and 3070 still have DLSS and better RTX performance at hand.

It almost looks as if AMD is intentionally setting a high msrp since they know it will sell anyways in the current market and now that i think about it good for them I'd rather see AMD making the money than the scalpers and miners. Only problem is it does screw anyone who is legitimately wanting to game.

Short list why is AMD premium worth it: Amazing drivers with "no" locked features across supported GPUs, even trivial such as recording or sharpening Drivers literally have no bugs, otherwise any of the 0 employees who read bug reports would pass them to the devs Amazing technique of downscaling with FidelityFX that by no means looks worse then native res you are downscaling to, at least in cyberpunk Absolutely complete OC API for third party apps so various "anti-cheat" software will not close afterburner on game startup AMD is not collecting data about your fps and time in games (definitively not selling that data)

There is no game that justifies me paying 500USD to play it. Especially with the new VtM game being delayed. I can't believe I still have saved money from wanting to upgrade to a 2080 and 9900K lmao, which I refused to do because of the dumb prices. 8700K and 1070ti it is until corporations return with their feet on the ground or BTC collapses, hopefully.

I can find most cards where I live in East EU. Thing is, a 3070 is 1480 USD. Yes, no exaggeration. But I can buy one even now.

The mining craze will die down eventually, and when that happens, nobody is going to buy a GPU that (by itself) costs as much as a whole gaming console but with worse performance. I know I'll be waiting a while (possibly more than a year) but it won't be forever.
