In theory I see it as a nice feature to give users the option for a Raid5. But only three disks? That's the bare minimum to get a Raid5. But seeing two LAN ports is nice. If you could team them together you would have a nice redundancy. But please, if you own one of those, keep them updated! Why? Hilbert I think there's a digit missing from the line: "0% of QNAP NAS users prefer using RAID 5 arrays to benefit from optimized storage capacity, higher performance, and data protection." Either that or QNAP has lost the plot making this product 😀
