PowerColor Radeon R9 295X2 Devil13 requires four 8pin power connectors http://s9.postimg.org/fxpnwalvz/Power_Color_R9_295_X2_Devil13_1.jpg
PowerColor Radeon R9 295X2 Devil13 requires four 8-pin power connectors Is this the first ever card to require four 8pin power connectors? The amount of power that can be delivered through them is absolutely insane. Of course this will affect two things, the overclocking capabilities and … your wallet, when it comes to paying for the power. PowerColor’s R9 295X2 is triple-slot design, but it also has a backplate, so it’s even thicker. There are three fans, each of the same diameter (100mm?). Radeon R9 295X2 Devil13 features two Hawaii XT GPUs with a total of 5760 Stream Processors. Each GPU has it’s own 4GB GDDR5 memory and 512-bit interface. At this point we have no information about the clock speeds, but I would be surprised if this card is not factory-overclocked. Whether you like it or not, you are probably looking at the fastest graphics card on the planet.

Titan z should outperform it.
Always some caption obvious. I hate fanboys. On topic, MY 7850s with 2 total six pins feel pretty green power now compared to 4 8 pins. Damn! I remember when people went crazy when the 2900 XT had 1 8 pin and 6 pin.

The radiator on the reference 295X2 gets insanely hot, so i wonder how this can keep it cool, let alone quiet.

Stop saying that, it does not get that hot or much loud.

Quad 8-Pin Connectors?! That's like 600W plus 75 from the PCI-E... Even the older MARS II 580 SLI has 3.

Why are you guys so surprise at four 8 pin connectors......no big deal i have two GTX 680, with two 8 pin connectors.... pulling no more than 375 watts.....stop DROOLING!!!

One thing that's interesting is that it looks like the fans are set up to pull air through the heatsink and exhaust air out the face rather than the usually push configuration with air exhausting out the sides. I'm not sure I've seen this before on a GPU. http://s9.postimg.org/fxpnwalvz/Power_Color_R9_295_X2_Devil13_1.jpg It could just be a trick of light on the fan blades, but it really looks like I'm looking down at a convex curve to me.

Because it's one physical card. I think it's just there to make thing easier for some PSU's. I would want to know the price and so on. maybe if it's good I'll consider it. I hope it's not more expensive than the stock r9-295 cause then I see no use getting this card.
