1000 parts and it's limited edition? AMD has probably produced less 😀

My humble guess from availability in EU is that AMD distributed 8~10k of cards in 1st batch worldwide. On other hand, if 1000 parts is called "limited", then it looks like AMD decided to leave bigger portion of pie to AIBs this time. Maybe it is game of faces. nVidia produced power hungry GPUs where some AIBs took it way too far. Like 450W. (But in few years, people will ignore that their card eats 450W and claim it is 350W card as that's what reference eats.) AMD decided to limit their cards to 250/300W and that's what people will remember instead of 380W models from AIBs. Same way as when nVidia official base and boost clock was lower than what even reference cards had out of the box in last few generations. Clever way of misleading. People take number of CU/TMU/ROPs whatever number suits their calculation and official clock at which card achieves certain score. Then they will divide this core by number of execution units and expected clock. Good for comparing which architecture does more per clock. Bad way, if actual clock is very different from one on paper. Either way, If I manage to get one of AIB models, I'll be limiting its power draw and undervolting if possible.

Isn't the limited part of it just that there is a "limited edition run" that is labeled? I have a Red Devil, but it isn't limited. However, I think I recall there being a limited edition that came with a bunch of extra stuff in the box. The card itself was the same, though, but just no "x/y" numbering.
