As there is not much of an overclock it is more Couchdog than Hellhound.

Maybe they bought cheaper lower binned chips. But from review, spec sheet says 230W. Yet measurement is at 200W while reference eats 217W. And that's 8.5% more. Cards from ASUS/MSI eat almost 240W, which is reason for higher clock. Other possibility is that if card uses less efficient VRMs, it will reach lower clock at same power draw. Yet, it looks bit differently. Hellhound matches reference card in terms of performance, but consumes less. So, they either have better VRMs on all cards, or they sent HH chip with low leakage. As those run cooler, but OC less. (Which is my guess.)

Remember when... if you were in the market for a new GPU, you could read all of these reviews, see the tiniest little differences that might sway you, pick the card you wanted, then just bought it, possibly at a discount? That was neat.
