How is driver profile performance with games on AMD GPUs compared to Nvidia? Did they improve a lot since RDNA2? I am running on Nvidia right now but if I switch to AMD series I would like to keep a better performance in both, Raytracing and non-Raytracing games.

Keep that around long enough for real-time Path Tracing. PT is what 6900 XT does best and made for.:D

I have a GTX 1080, and i have 2 games that waiting for a ray tracing card capable of handling 4K without costing a limb at the same time. Aka Control & Metro Exodus Enhanced. But i could easily add others, Cyberpunk 2077, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Deathloop, Spider-Man remastered/Miles Morales, Dying Light 2 came into mind too. Of course you can play them without RT, some benefit more from RT visually than others.

Yeah, but did you see any improvements since you purchased your 6900xt where they made changes just from driver profile updates? There was this long time gap where AMD couldn't compete with Nvidia and most systems were running Nvidia hardware instead, so most games were optimized to run just fine primarily on Nvidia. I would like to know if this has changed ever since RDNA was released, plus newest consoles run on AMD too these days. So this must have affected how game developers optimize their games to run fine on AMD platforms too, didn't it?

All the games you mention i played with raytracing and few of them worth it others not so much but the point is thats all there is to it. Is it a life changing? No. Like you said most of them already look good visually.

And this is why nvidia's marketing BS worked for so long with Gameworks and you can tell you bought into it and don't want to sound ignorant like it worked. AMD was never an issue on performance. I've had both going on for the last almost 15 years and I can tell you since about 2013 honestly I've never had performance issues with any AMD hardware. Currently have a 6800xt and it flies for what it has. One driver bug that was fixed but the whole bullshit Nvidia Gimpsworkc rap has disappeared and that shit just doesn't happen like it used to anymore. We don't have the whole Crysis 2 tessellation issues and Ray tracing works just fine even if AMD doesn't have as much Hardware power for it right now. Tons of games have even been optimized more for Radeon Hardware than in the past. But I have not seen anything be broken like the days of The Witcher 3 and any games that had physics and gimp Works installed in it and AMD was locked out of the source code for the game until after release.

Awesome ! , it looks like this card will be water cooled by an aio since no fans can be seen. I'm really looking forward to it.

Holy gasoline cow! Over here a moped is, by law, restricted to 45kph max speed, with an engine upper limit of 50cc.

Well they won't really have much choice. There's no way the 4090 is 50% faster than the 7900xtx. Yet it costs that and a bit more.

Gains have never been linear, the high end is huge cost for little gains, but thats how most things are, you want the fastest, you have you will pay. Nvidia wont lower unless the 7900XTX wins on most things, which wont happen.
