3080ti looks terrific. I want one, but not badly enough to pay 2x the retail price - which it's likely to cost once it comes out. 3070ti looks very disappointing though, barely better than the 3070.

Solfaur:

It just shows how dire things are when the main discussion in a gpu news thread is whether or not infinity can be divided by zero. 🙄
This is the real takeaway. Not much point talking about things we can't buy.

RTX 3000 is a wash, while the Ti's are meant to be mining gimped there is such a hole left with the lack of cards to gaming consumers you still won't be able to get one with over a year of void to fill anyway. Maybe the RTX 4000 will be better???

Well the bubble started to burst, slowly but it is happening. The market will soon be filled with used 3000 series, add this new TI series on top and prices will get back to normal very soon. Apparently one 3090 now only does 5€ a day, so it's getting useless by the minute.

Hopefully its gonna burst soon. Imagine getting an 3070 at msrp? It sounds like a dream lol

I hope this is true since I'd fancy getting a new system. Not so sure if it will happen though, since I wouldn't want to bother with it with if not doing the GPU as well (custom water setup).

Well, even if the bubble did burst (and I don't think it did quite yet), it will take months for retailers to "adjust". Just today 3x3090s popped up in stock from the place I usually buy from for the lovely price of 3700 euros a pop... so yeah, it will be a while.

I suspect by the time the 3xxx prices approach normal it'll be close enough to the 4xxx release date that you'd be better off waiting for one of them anyway.
