Do they not make cards with single slot coolers anymore? Even these low power entry level cards have dual slot coolers slapped on them.

I hope they do a single slot low profile version of this GPU.

Interesting that it says it uses a 6-pin power connector when it doesn't show anywhere on the photo the otherwise.

...what? Unless i'm clearly missing something, that photo wouldn't even be possible to show it, so what exactly are you trying to say/get at?

They are trying to justify the price tag somehow.

Well, pretty much exactly what I said--the article states that it will use a 6-pin connector when the 'leak' doesn't show otherwise. Take what you want from it, but it probably means PNY paid Guru3d to publish the article, less the specs for the exact card are floating around the internet. Even with the holder 750/Ti, you had variants with and without 6-pins.

Which means this version most likely has a PCI 6 pin connector.

We do not get paid or accept money for articles / news or content. So I do not appreciate the insinuation. Entry-level products like 950 will be below 100 Watts TDP, you get 75 through the PCI-Express slot, and then all partners use a 6-pin / 75W connector with an exception here and there. Heck, perhaps I have already seen and tested some GTX 950 cards ?

Do you know if any will be low profile like the 730/740's

I apologize--I guess it's only logical to assume they're using a 6-pin connector if the assumed TDP is 90 watts and PCIe is only 75. Shame though--I really appreciated the 750Ti for what it was, where some models didn't require an external connector, making it very SFF/HTPC friendly. Edit: It doesn't make sense though. With the 960 going for roughly $200, and the 750Ti going for as high as $140-$160, it would make more sense to replace something along the 750Ti price bracket than to roll out something with hardware requirements similar to the 960.

The picture in the article is of the slot side of the card. There has never been a power connector on the slot side of the card for obvious reasons. So, from the picture, it's not possible to tell whether the card has a 6-pin connector or not.

i "think" that's his point? the fact that it's being claimed as having the 6-pin even though the only leak we have does not tell you one way or the other. Though i still don't understand the purpose of his post.

I deal with enough stupidity a day that I've stopped trying to figure out what point people are trying to make.... Instead, I just assume that what they post is what they mean.

just for info about the 6 pin: - i have recentely get 2 750Ti from ASUS to build friend's computer, same ref, same model etc... one have 6 pin and other don't have, the only difference is one was build 1 month later... about perf: it's the same and OC the same. on those entry segment it isn't important. about picture: we can't see... PNY use NVidia design so the 6 pin can be horizontal or vertical (or both in high end GPU). we can't see right now, but maybe there is one (or not lol).

nope, look at 730 and 740 in "vs price" and "vs perf/technology"

As they refine the technology they can get more performance out of less power. I had the same thing when I got a 2nd 9800GTX+ years ago. The first had 1x6pin and 1x8 pin. The second had 2x6 pins.

The PNY 750 ti can be purchased for $99. Most other brands are under $130. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133531&ignorebbr=1

Would this be an ideal card for 1024 x 768 res?

Literally any graphics card is ideal for that res.
