Won't like to pay that much for a blue PCB...no..just NO!

I'd be more worried about the speed or durability rather than color but then again this Coolermaster case I'm currently using is some steel/aluminum combination without visible windows or other "decorations" though even with that seeing how you slot this into a little port usually next to one of the other PCI-E x16 ports you wouldn't really see this most of the time, less so with that little heat spreader thing on it. (Or what it is, might just be for looks or possibly protecting the memory chips from direct contact, I'd assume they do get a bit hot at least even without moving parts so perhaps it has some heat sink functionality too.)

It's just preference dude. Most people see 'Newbie' and quickly jump to conclusions, Newbie doesn't know much. Let's just say I joined the site recently. Anyways, windowed case or not, M.2 mounted on PCIe adapter or behind the mobo, I'm not paying for blue PCB when others exist in the same price range but with a black PCB and have similar speed. PNY have delivered good products so this won't be any different. M.2s inherently suffer from throttling at high temps and sustained operation without heat efficiently dissipated.

Of course, there's many who find overall aesthetics to be an important if not critical factor when building their systems even if I don't see it as much of a thing but I can certainly respect others opinions about this subject. 🙂 If I'm understanding it correctly it seems I might have come across as a bit too direct (blunt?) with my previously posted comment and if so I do apologize about that, probably something I have to keep in mind with the way I write or post so I should have tried to write it differently. (Making a mess of trying to explain this in a good way.) And as for this whole title thing many forums make use of I don't really consider it much of a factor of anything really aside from perhaps a overall post count indicator, I joined several years ago and post comments almost daily but I'm not really too knowledgeable and still have a lot to learn particularly about these newer more recent improvements. (I can't even use a M.2 stick due to this hardware being pretty old by now and even regular SSD's would be throttled by SATA2 and PCIE 2.0 limitations.)

Pappa-pia! with all these new premium M.2 coming out, they should come packaged with a shield but then again some mobo offers it as cosmetic add-on =P
