Hopefully this will force down the costs of some of the other NVMe drives. I really want a 1TB NVMe 950 Pro but I know it's going to cost like $750 when it launches next year. Intel is still pricing it's 1.2TB drive at $1000.

Denial, have you seen a launch date yet on the 1TB 950 Pro or an estimate like Q1, Q2, etc? I'm hoping before end of Q2; that's when the Win 10 upgrade deadline "for free" hits. This Plextor would be a nice additional also, but like you I also need 1TB+ to make the jump. Plextor has made some nice software to cache data in RAM before writing it to the SSD. I saw it on a review somewhere--possibly here. Either way I like the M.2 idea because you can start off with an add on card initially and when you get a mobo someday that supports M.2, you can remove the big enclosure. 🙂 Thanks
