Riiiiiight, I just had to look up my ps5 box and it says there on the top right corner 4K 120. What does it mean then ? 😀 Iam all up for a pro version of a console, especially when you look at gta VI, but then again when I look back at ps4 pro and how miniscule the performance difference was when compared to the older ps4. I have high doubts these will sell well, just like ps4 pro consoles.

It means what we always knew it meant. No matter how much compute power you give to game devs, they will just raise visuals as much as they can and end up targetting 30FPS anyway 😛 They always did that, and they always will continue to do it. With frame gen, maybe this time around we'll actually get 120?

The PS5 can't manage 60 never mind 120. Unless the game is a 2D side scrolling one.

You can manage 60 on every system. The problem is, better visuals mean better sales, so studios rarely target 60.

playing last epoch that was released yesterday after years of early access it uses 99% of my 4090 and will gladly use 420w if i let it to run 4k 120fps and it barely does it even thinking a console can do it is ludicrous oh I'm sure you can have 4k 120fps on consoles the same way people release 600mbs "4K" movies 🙄

From what I've seen so far, AMD's FG has three benefits: 1. Looks either just as good or better. 2. Performs better. 3. Uses much less power.
