A boost mode has also been uncovered for PS4 Pro allowing it to run base PS4 games at smoother framerates http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-ps4-pro-boost-mode-makes-standard-ps4-games-run-more-smoothly

While this is great and all. Why has it taken 3+ years for this to come out on PS4?

I've tried a few external drives with the beta. The one I'd suggest (If you're wanting to buy one) Would be this goo.gl/YoR1Rb . It works perfectly with no need of any external power supply and is extremely fast. I have a couple of these and use them on various other systems with no issue! (One for my XB1, and WiiU :P)

Both nice additions. Icing on the cake would be if they could somehow allow full 1080p for titles that run below this. Probably not possible due to UI and asset etc problems. 30 to 60fps would be great as well.

Very nice little feature for PS4 owner's, more features are always a good thing.

I don't understand why Sony are such ****ters that this had to be a feature to be added.

Wii u games can hit up to about 23gb. That's not filler

Just bought a 4 TB Seagate drive to supplement the almost full 2 TB drive in my own PS4 Pro. This update is great news for people like me who have large games libraries that they switch between. While PS4 games install relatively quickly, the multi-GB sized updates/patches don't hence why I want to keep them installed rather than install/uninstall them to make space. For example, I bought Hitman Complete Edition Season 1 and that had a 10 GB patch plus another 8 GB for the DLC!!!
