That is wat i was thinking, we must look for more clues.

I still don't see any reason to buy this monitor instead of a let's say 49/55 inch HDR 1000 TV. It's 32:9, which is poorly supported right now in games, it has only a 400 HDR and it mostly occupies the same space on a desk as a TV of the same size. Ok, let's say for productivity, opening a lot of windows is way easier to use this monitor instead of two small ones, or a large TV. But for gaming, movies and normal usage, it's still not there. I would love to see a 3440X1440, 34 inch, 21:9 monitor with adaptive sync and HDR 1000 with FALD panel. Why is so hard to make one, is beyond me...

Guys, the other day I went to the usual shop to get an SSD ( Samsung 860 ) and took the opportunity to ask for a normal, cheap ( 300€ ) gaming monitor with "normal" curvature... He told me the curvature causes eyes fatigue... Is it true? It it like the 3D movies but with less effect? And by the way, indeed those guys know what they're talking about. I was working there for a while until I found a better one. P.S. And don't forget, we're talking about a normal curvature that you barely even notice, not an extreme one.

I don't see the speed listed. I presume this is 60hz. If I go Super Wide that would be a deal breaker for me. I'm still pretty interested in the 2 Samsung Super Wide monitors (3840x1080p, 120/144hz). While this Phillips has 1440P vertical (which would be nice), I assume it's not fast. For me: Super-wide 40" or more 100hz or more I wouldn't mind 1440p but I would sacrifice that for speed. I'm having a hard time convincing the missus that I may spend ~$1,000 on some monitor this year. Somehow... Overall, this seems like a pretty decent deal for what it is.

Is this for sale anywhere in the US? I cannot find it. Edit: never mind, I see it won't be released until 3/21.

One of the selling points for curved monitors is less eye fatigue so I'm not sure.
