Runs hot like my Zotac 970. Poor cooling or bad fan profile.
So you can get silent at 80c or mid to upper 60s with noise with custom fan profile.

I'm sure you can just apply a custom sound profile to keep the temps at around 67 degrees like other cards. But if the throttle point is 80 degrees with the new Maxwell architecture then there really is no need. I've seen it going for £265 which is £30 cheaper than all the other 970's with the exclusion of NVidia's own.

oh hell that much, right up till now I've avoided the new Maxwell prices lol

Just bought mine for £264.95 + £7 for delivery. When I get it I'll check out the cooling profile etc. and report back. Only 2 left in stock though!

Have this card just over a month , great card. Switched from AMD R9 290 after the card failed.
To be honest the cards are very similar in performance but the Nvidia drivers are just so much better in my opinion.
Also the card sits at 60c idle and 72c load.
Fans are at %0 when idle.

bumped the fans up slightly with custom profile and its around 40c idle and still totally silent. The card is extremely quiet compared to my R9.
